TEST DAYS
Race Car/Motorcycle testing on track at Euromarque Motorsport Park, Ruapuna Raceway
Please note – Test days finish at 4:30pm. We request that users please pack up and depart by 5:00pm.

If you register, but can no longer make it, please let us know, full refunds will be made if requested in writing prior to the Test Day.
TEST DAYS ARE FOR THE TESTING OF COMPETITION VEHICLES ONLY.
IF YOU HAVE A ROAD CAR OR ROAD BIKE THAT YOU DO NOT INTEND TO RACE, THERE ARE OTHER DAYS THAT ARE MORE SUITABLE FOR YOU AND YOUR VEHICLE
There are regular days run by groups such as Christchurch Trackdays, Motorcycling Canterbury and Ornsby Motorcycle Training to get your road car/motorcycle on track.
MINIMUM LAP TIMES APPLY
These test days are not for slow speed activity.
The Canterbury Car Club have monthly “Run-In Mornings” for slow speed car activity.
First time/learner users should first contact your local club for events like Have a Go Days to get up to speed before coming to test days.

Please use a useful reference including the date of the test day and your name if the account is not under your name. Also ensure payments are made early enough we can see the payment before the test day
Vehicle Requirements:
Cars
– Driver must hold and present a current/valid Motorsport New Zealand competition licence. (not temporary or day licence)
– Car operator is responsible for ensuring it meets the safety requirements for your level of motorsport competition. All vehicles require a MSNZ schedule A compliant fire extinguisher.
– Convertibles must have, a MSNZ homologated safety structure, minimum 4 point (half cage) which sits higher than the occupants helmet when seated normally. (Clubsport exemptions do not apply)
– Driver and passengers must wear a minimum of a single layer FIA/SFI race suit and a competition approved helmet. (Strongly recommend are higher levels of safety gear such as full fireproof gear and head restraint)
– Passengers may only be carried in approved vehicles, full MSNZ homologated safety structure & car fully complies with MSNZ passenger requirements. Passengers must wear safety gear as per driver requirements.
– All passengers must sign in at the office and wear supplied wrist band.
– Driver is responsible for ensuring passenger is equipped correctly and understands how to operate the safety equipment.
– Second driver, or second car no extra charge (all drivers must meet all regulations), one registration form per driver required.
Motorcycles
– Riders must hold and produce a current/valid Motorcycling New Zealand competition licence. (not temporary or day licence)
– Single piece or zip together leathers required. No textiles or separate top/bottoms.
– Leather boots & gloves, and back protector required
– Helmet must meet standards required for a Motorcycling New Zealand permitted race event. Nothing to be attached to helmet
– Motorcycle must be road or race legal, in addition if not already done:
– Mirrors to be removed or taped
– Handlebar ends to be plugged
– Lights to be taped or removed
– Stands and passenger pegs to be wired up or removed
No commercial activity may take place on a test day. This includes hot laps or rider/driver training – unless by prior arrangement with track management.
Unless noted otherwise, these days are for Cars and Motorcycles only. (no sidecars or supertrucks)
Note – These days do cover a wide range of vehicles and drivers/riders. Each group will have a vast array of lap times and experience levels so all users are reminded that you need to share the track safely. You may be faster or slower than others on track so you need to ensure you can operate in traffic safely. Dangerous passing or holding up faster vehicles is not tolerated.
Faster vehicles are responsible for passing safely.
All vehicles must lap the circuit in a 2:30 or faster.
Timing / Groups / Sessions
- Office opens at 8:30am for sign in
- Each group runs alternating 20 minute sessions.
- No set start times, groups run in standard order one after the other
- Standard running order for 3 groups – Saloon Cars, Open Wheelers (incl sports racing cars Lotus 7 and similar), Motorcycles. Some days may run up to 5 groups if splits required for large numbers
- No minimum track time guaranteed, standard day would expect 6-7 runs per group but if large numbers on the day, or holdups occur, this may be less
- Sessions restarted if paused for red flag
- End of Day – 4:30pm. Please pack up and leave the park promptly, by 5pm if possible (talk to the office if any issues with this)
