Also ensure payments are made early enough we can see the payment before the test day \n\nVehicle Requirements:\nCars\n– Driver must hold and present a current/valid Motorsport New Zealand competition licence. (not temporary or day licence)\n– Car operator is responsible for ensuring it meets the safety requirements for your level of motorsport competition. All vehicles require a MSNZ schedule A compliant fire extinguisher.\n– Convertibles must have\, a MSNZ homologated safety structure\, minimum 4 point (half cage) which sits higher than the occupants helmet when seated normally. (Clubsport exemptions do not apply)\n– Driver and passengers must wear a minimum of a single layer FIA/SFI race suit and a competition approved helmet. (Strongly recommend are higher levels of safety gear such as full fireproof gear and head restraint)\n– Passengers may only be carried in approved vehicles\, full MSNZ homologated safety structure & car fully complies with MSNZ passenger requirements. Passengers must wear safety gear as per driver requirements.\n– All passengers must sign in at the office and wear supplied wrist band.\n– Driver is responsible for ensuring passenger is equipped correctly and understands how to operate the safety equipment.\n– Second driver\, or second car no extra charge (all drivers must meet all regulations)\, one registration form per driver required. \nMotorcycles\n– Riders must hold and produce a current/valid Motorcycling New Zealand competition licence. (not temporary or day licence)\n– Single piece or zip together leathers required. No textiles or separate top/bottoms.\n– Leather boots & gloves\, and back protector required\n– Helmet must meet standards required for a Motorcycling New Zealand permitted race event. Nothing to be attached to helmet\n– Motorcycle must be road or race legal\, in addition if not already done:\n– Mirrors to be removed or taped\n– Handlebar ends to be plugged\n– Lights to be taped or removed\n– Stands and passenger pegs to be wired up or removed \nNo commercial activity may take place on a test day. This includes hot laps or rider/driver training – unless by prior arrangement with track management. \nUnless noted otherwise\, these days are for Cars and Motorcycles only. (no sidecars or supertrucks) \nNote – These days do cover a wide range of vehicles and drivers/riders. Each group will have a vast array of lap times and experience levels so all users are reminded that you need to share the track safely. You may be faster or slower than others on track so you need to ensure you can operate in traffic safely. Dangerous passing or holding up faster vehicles is not tolerated.\nFaster vehicles are responsible for passing safely.\nAll vehicles must lap the circuit in a 2:30 or faster. \n\nTiming / Groups / Sessions \n\nOffice opens at 8:30am for sign in\nEach group runs alternating 20 minute sessions.\nNo set start times\, groups run in standard order one after the other\nStandard running order for 3 groups – Saloon Cars\, Open Wheelers (incl sports racing cars Lotus 7 and similar)\, Motorcycles. Some days may run up to 5 groups if splits required for large numbers\nNo minimum track time guaranteed\, standard day would expect 6-7 runs per group but if large numbers on the day\, or holdups occur\, this may be less\nSessions restarted if paused for red flag\nEnd of Day – 4:30pm. Please pack up and leave the park promptly\, by 5pm if possible (talk to the office if any issues with this)

SUMMARY:Seal Autocross
DESCRIPTION:Autocross is a relatively cheap form of racing with higher speeds than a Motorkhana with the use of mainly 2nd/3rd gear\, and no reversing.\nChicanes are used to keep speeds down on longer straights.\nAutocross is an ideal environment in which to learn or improve car control skills. A circuit is laid out using plastic cones on a large grass or sealed area\, whereas the winner is the competitor with the fastest overall accumulated time from normally 3 runs. You race individually\, with another car starting 30 seconds or so behind you with 2-3 cars on the track at once but well separated. Usually there will be at least 3 courses\, with 2 runs at each course with your best time out of the 2 counting. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation\nSealed events – Ruapuna Raceway 107 Hasketts Rd\nGrass events – 94 Camwell Park. Club membership required after first 2 events. Drivers must be over 12 years of age\, 12-16 years old with parental consent.\nMax 2 drivers per car.\n\n\n\nCar Requirements\nRoad legal or race car meeting Motorsport NZ Schedule A\n\n\n\n\nOpen top (convertible) cars Additional to the requirements of Appendix Two\, Schedule A\, Article 4.6 in the Motorsport NZ Manual; All Open Top Vehicles (not including targa top) must be fitted with a compliant rollbar.\nFor road registered vehicles with a current WOF and registration\, a non-homologated safety rollbar/cage can be accepted at the Clerk of Course’s discretion. It will require sufficient height (top of bar must be higher than top of helmet in normal seating position) & strength of build and mounting (clerk of course must be confident in knowing that the bar is built and mounted strongly).\nNon road legal open vehicles must be fitted with a homologated safety rollbar (half cage) minimum and be fully compliant with Schedule A.\nIn all cases\, the occupant’s helmet must be no higher than the highest point of the roll protection in a normal seating position (the bar\, not the padding). \nAdditional notes on vehicle requirements:\n– Cars are checked by a scrutineer so you must ensure your car is suitable\, Ask if you have any questions\n– Road cars running regularly we highly recommend you get a Motorsport NZ Logbook\, saves you needing scrutineering as often\n– Adding a bolt on hard top does not remove the open car requirements\n– Road legal means presented in the state it passed the WOF. eg. if you make modifications after that WOF check it is no longer valid\, eg if installing a race seat/harness it must be done as per Schedule A \nTyres:\nGrass events – Road Tyres only – No Rally tyres\, mud and snows or knobblies of any kind (see regs for full details)\nTarmac events – Road Legal Tyres only (including semi slicks on which it is possible to get a warrant) – No slicks or pure race tyres \n\n\n \nSafety Gear:\nApproved helmet (See part 4.1 in Schedule A)\nOveralls minimum 100% Cotton (FIA/SFI approved race suit highly recommended)\nFire extinguisher highly recommended (must meet Schedule A requirements: double strap metal bracket securely bolted)\n\nPassengers:\nPermitted under Motorsport NZ regulations. Full roll cage and supporting safety gear required.\nIndemnity form to be completed\, passengers aged 12-15 need parental consent form.
